20% 0ff one item at REI - cycling shoes

REI has a 20% off sale this weekend, maybe till the end of the month?. Picked up some nice cycling shoes.
Shimano MT33L. I use them without cleats or toe-clips. Nice stiff sole and decent styling.

How much did you pay?
I have been looking at the same model.

Edit:
Looking at REI's site, you need to be a member ($20 lifetime).
Discount is good until 4/10

Shoes were $80 minus 20% = $64 plus tax. I almost bought them on line for $80 from BikeTires Direct, so I think they were a good deal.

By the way good deals at BikeTires Direct.com also. They have a 48 hour sale for the weekend.

Thanks for the idea. I've been wearing the MT31 model for a while.

I've been a member for many years but REI is more walmart now than a member-owned small town service gear-coop like it used to be back in the day.

Still, the membership is worth it because of the "garage sales" they have every once in a while to clear out returned, scratch & dent, no-package, demo, and out of production items that can't be sold retail any more for various reasons. Those garage sales are THE best source of gear deals. Get there early and bring your own bag to stuff the bootie into as you fight everyone else (depending on how it is set up at your local store) to get the deals before they are all gone.

Buying at their normal retail prices gives poor value as well as poor customer service. It's almost like buying online the service is so bad these days but without the good online prices. I much rather buy from someone like The Goat because even though they are an online store their service is actually better than REI's!
