tire clearance on newer Jamis Quest?

Anyone have one or know max tire size?

Looking at a 2011 or 2012 model, with the newer geometry. I searched and found the older ones are pretty tight, but didn't find anything certain about the newer models.

thanks!

On a road bike you can go up to 30 C. Maybe 32 C but that's it. A bike shop mechanic can advise you on what is the max tire size a Jamis Quest will take.

And to expand on that, some are even less. I think the Trek 1 series is 25 or 28 depending on whether you're using fenders or not. Measuring before purchasing should be pretty important if you have doubts.

Measure everything too, the mount points included. Someone i talk to just bought 30 inch tires and can no longer use their rack when those wheels are on.
