Singapore as a cycling city?

How is Singapore as a cycling city?

I am contemplating a job there, but there seems to be a dearth of info on cycling in the city. Is commuting by bike a reasonable option there? The city appeals a great deal, but I don`t think I could be happy somewhere where I couldn't ride much.

I didn't ride in Singapore proper and I only used public light rail as opposed to a vehicle, but nothing rubbed me the wrong way about Singapore's infrastructure which seems to be very well thought out. I saw bikes there but I wasn't really taking notes at the time. The only riding I did was on a nearby island that rented mtbs to ride on the gravel paths/roads.
