NZ mtb trails to explore

Hi Kiwis
I'm living in Auckland these days, but I lived in Rotorua when the MTB trails started to evolve past the classic first track, hell I was a part of the Skyline Skyrides mtb downhill event run by The Freditor in the mid 90's that welcomed Dave Cullinan to the early Rotorua mtb scene.
What are the trails to explore in your area, and what grades are they?

30km route around Rotorua forest test ridden.
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/8044778455

Essentially follow the 30km Whaka Loop through Te Kōtukutuku Extension, then instead of turning left on Green Lake Rd to head South to 10km of concrete cycleway, turn right, go around the metal gate, and follow Green Lake Rd to the West, then ride the Taura trail to back to the North. The Taura trail is grade 3, so less technical people may need to walk a couple of sections, but anyone can ride at least 95% of the Taura trail with ease.

I was exhausted getting back, but that made the cool cider at the carpark bar ever more sweet...
