Cruiser Fenders & Chain Guards

There's a thread about fenders in the "General Cycling Discussion". I realize that there are a lot of people that don't have an appreciation of cruiser type bikes. So why not have a thread that shows "our" fenders, and chain guards. From mild to wild, stock or custom. This is one of mine.

ok, sometimes I make a long post then it says I'm not logged in. had to test it first

since I tend to end up sitting as low (or in the case of the coker stretch, lower) as the rear tire, I like fenders for wet days. I do chain guards just to try and make the bike look complete.

I'll admit my fenders are for wet roads only but I keep my chain guard on since I usually ride in long pants and the cuffs would constantly be rubbing over the chain without them.

Did this bike for my son. It was my Father-in-law's, his Grand Father. It will be left to my granddaughter eventually. Before I started this, it looked like it had been left in a dump for 50 years. Nothing beats chrome.

I have both fenders and chain guards on both my cruisers. Not only do they add style but where I ride they really help with deflecting the fine crushed gravel on our local trails.

EnjoyinTheRide...Notice how similar the chain guard on your new Huffy is to the guard in the post above yours. That one came off of a bike made in the 1930's....Your Huffy is a good looking bike!

Thanks, Ive only taken it out twice on some test runs, im still fitting it properly. It rides real smooth. And with the bigger tires 2x2.35 the fenders are a little wider than the other bike so it should keep the debris out of the way.
