Which Cruiser-Peace Bike or Electra

I'm really liking the look of this Dreamer Step Through 7-speed D from Peace Bikes:
https://peacebicycles.com/step-thru-frame

My second choice would be the Electra Loft 7D Women's Bike - 2017:

My local REI has the Electra in stock but I would have to buy the step thru from Peace bikes online.

Peace bikes seems to be new so I'm wondering how the quality is and if anyone has experience with either? Thanks

I've never seen one in person, but the first link is a pretty standard looking "omafiet". Nothing wrong with that, by the way, just be aware that it is made out of steel, if the plan is to store it outside. I always told my customers buying a hi-ten cruiser that if you leave it outside 24/7/365, plan on replacing it entirely in 5-6 years (we are a coastal area, your mileage may vary). The riding position is very upright (that is, straight back upright). Included lights are usually junk, but even the worst light is better than the more common reflectors, at night (both are good!)

The Electra is much the same (sub an aluminum frame, narrower tires...), but I would test ride it first; most of Electra's offerings are 'pedal forward'; for some people, myself included, no amount of adjusting the saddle/handlebars will ever make it comfortable--it will always feel "off".

I plan on storing my bike in my apartment or storage closet, not outside. I prefer a more upright position which I find is more comfortable for me. If I plan on going long distance I'll just ride my Tern to the bus stop & fold it up & commute with bus & bike. I have carpal tunnel in my right wrist & if I ride my Tern for too long it starts to hurt as do my knees sometimes. So I want a cruiser for comfortable, upright, leisurely riding to enjoy scenery mostly and the occasional run to the farmer's market or grocery store. So I'll be getting panniers & bike basket for my bike too.

Draw a line down from the nose of the seat to the chain ring, same thing. That Electra is not pedal forward and weighs more, even without the rack. We have two Electras and love them. But that Dreamer certainly does look pretty "cool". Dreamer has higher handle bars, might be less pressure on your wrist.

Does it have to be one of those two? There are other brands with similar bikes as well, what about the Jamis Hudson?

Ok, I test drove a small Linus Dutchi 8 at a local bike shop & it was super comfortable. https://www.linusbike.com/products/d...nt=16842591940 So that's a contender too.
This public C7 looks nice too. Shop PUBLIC C7 Step Through Bike from PUBLIC Bikes

I know a few people with these. No complaints.

Holy smokes that Linus is expensive. It's a $400.00 jump to add the 8-speed hub and rack.

Yeah, the Linus was expensive and at the extreme end of my budget. The Pashley sitting next to it was even more expensive, though impressive. I'm still leaning towards the Peace bike combo that comes with panniers, etc. if I can't find something locally in that price range with everything I want on it.

I have to say Im an Electra fan (I Have 2) but the Peace bike really looks pretty nice for its price. If you are looking for comfort you might try the Electras with baloon tires.

I've got an Electra Sunny Garcia that has been left outside, 3 blocks from the beach, for ~15 years. It's rusty but still has original tires, cables, etc.
