What do you guys think of the Lux 7d Fat Tire bike??
Hey guys I have the regular Lux 7d Electra cruiser bike but now they have the beasty Electra Lux 7d Fat Tire. Thinking of selling my old one to get this bad boy! What do you guys think? The fat tires give this a whole new image to this bike. I was looking at the more expensive Straight 8 which is a totally different bike all together. Anyways I love the 7d Fat Tire. Thoughts?? Thanks!!

Personally, I don't see the need for fat tires unless one is riding in snow or seriously rugged wilderness. Seem like a lot of rubber for your legs to spin up, and keep spun.
Plus it has cables all over the place, hand brakes, shifters, derailleurs, cassette, reflectors, MATTE paint and disc brakes. My eyes see a road bike or a hybrid with the wrong kind of frame.
A chain guard on a derailleur bike? That's wronger than wrong.
I hate it.
You asked.
But if you like it, that's all that matters. Go for it.

When you're at the Beach there ain't nothing that beats riding Fat Bike Cruiser on the beach! I love that Electra frame as I use to have a Electra Cruiser 7D and rode it on the beach. I grew tired of the crank forward and wished I'd gotten the nexus 3 speed.
I'm planning on putting a nexus 3i on my 616.

This is what I have already. Maybe I should keep it? Should I lose the fenders? I did have an Electra Ghostrider but hated the forward pedal design. My sister said I looked like special needs riding it so I sold it and got this instead. Thoughts on this bike. It was $619 plus taxes. Is this considered a decent cruiser as far as quality? Thanks. Again with fenders or without. Can't post the my pics. WTF!!! How come I can't add pics to this message????

working on fat and half fat (i think it's called? 29x3?) cruisers currently, but neither has been test ridden. i've brought about 4 fat bikes, but never do beyond a test ride before i'm considering what else i want to do to them, or just setting them away for some future plan. i guess none of them have been love at first ride, but interesting enough to want to play/experiment with.

I have a Lux Fat 7D coming in tomorrow.. Still not certain if it will be matte black or the titanium.. There was a wee bit of difficulty even getting one, so the color is a surprise
.. I like them both..
I've ordered an Electra Mini Ape hanger handlebar that I'll mount as soon as I get it..
Only issue now is to find some fenders that fit, and some grippier tires before Danish winter hits..
