Shifting 3 speed igh
I have a three speed cruiser comming and am not sure how to shift it. I thought I was suppose to coast to shift. People have told me I can pedal while shifting. Some people say pedal lightly. I have never owned a three speed, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping this will be my grocery/inclimate weather bike.

It's because you have no clutch like you do on other types of vehicles.

Thanks for all the info. I took it on a very brief ride in the rain. The coaster brakes will take some getting used to.

I get that. I never gave coaster brakes a second thought when riding them as a kid. But after so many years of using hand brakes, I now feel a little awkward when I ride a coaster brake cruiser.
