Cruiser Frame Bag
 

Riding weather has been too long sucky and I'm suffering from a severe case of cabin fever. This makes me think of new and different ways to tinker with my bikes. In that regard, I'm on a mission find a replacement for the clunky seat bag (I don't like seat bags anyway) I use carry my stuff on my beach cruiser. I have a few frame bags in my stash but the cantilever frames on cruisers aren't the best candidates for frame bags. This was the best I could do with what I had:

I like it better than the seat bag but it's still kind of clunky. Has anyone found a frame bag that will fit nicely between the top tubes where vintage cruisers use to have tanks? State Bicycle Company offers one for their Klunker but that's a totally different frame. I'm open to ideas and if anyone has found a better solution than the one pictured above please share.

Edit: I did find this on YouTube which is what I have in mind but it is not commercially available. I may make a pattern and ask my seamstress sister-in-law put something together.

There looks to be plenty of space between the tubes to fit a good sized bag, and I think it would look good. Custom made would be the best way to go on this. Keep us up to date with pictures when it gets completed @GeezyRider .
