My wife has ridden her cruiser for 33 miles, I have only done 11 on mine. Really anything over 8 miles I will take one of my other bikes.

I took my Sawyer about 40 miles on New Years from the Miami Airport thru downtown Miami over to South Beach and up to Hollywood Beach. It was definitely one sweet Beach Cruise!

about 30mls on my stretch pictured in the "show your cruiser" thread, but that also included a couple stops to eat, drink and sightsee a bit. 13-15mls is more of an average continual "long" ride though.

Not really sure. When I was young and before the bikes became known as "beach cruisers'' my buddies and I would ride 60 ~ 70 miles or more a day on our balloon tired monsters ... all summer long and as far into the winter as we could (no studded tires then - at least not that we knew of).

Used to ride close to 50 miles a day for about 2-3 years to help me recover from my accident. Now down to 30 miles a day on avg (commuting). Finding a saddle (and getting the right adjustments dialed in) that is comfortable for long rides is the key. Typical wide cruiser saddles never worked for me. Something the size and shape of a Brooks B66-7 (springer saddles!!!) is my preference.

WOW! You guys are hard core! The most I've done on my beach cruiser is 27 miles in one day. I've done 78 miles on my recumbent bike in a day. But on my cruiser I just like to take it easy and cruise.
