Albatross bars on a cruiser
It's hard to see from this pic, but my cruiser has a typical "moon" shape handlebar that sweeps back in a lazy curve, then drops very slightly toward the grips:
It works OK for me, functionally speaking, but I don't know if I want to stay with this particular look. Would an albatross/upright handlebar of the English 3-speed variety work on this bike? Just curious....

That's basically what I'm doing to my Electra Cruiser but I'm going to use bar tape instead of grips.

The good thing about cruisers you can make a lot of changes to fit your "style" of riding.

Niagara cycle is good. Prices are good. Not the fastest,but nice selection of parts.

stem to bar clamp diameter is 1 inch, so in that, yes,
they bend forward , before bending back some ,
and so your posture will not be as upright.

Yup, I put an albatross bar on my cruiser last night after reading this post. The upright position changes a bit. I haven't put grips on it yet, I'm still not sure I like the look.

I just bought a set of Bosco bars for my crusier, but I'm thinking I should have bought Albatross bars. I'm replacing some old bars that have more of a "buckhorn" shape. The Bosco bars are closer to crusier bars, but I think I like the Albas better. Oh well. What's another $50 on bars? :|
