Left Handed Reverse Threads Question, Please
Hello,
Working on a kid's bike. Know very little about bike repair, frankly. But slowly starting to learn. I know the left side pedal where it screws into the crank is a "reverse," thread. What about the threaded portions of the wheel hubs where they screw into the forks ? Is one side of these also a left-hand thread ? Thanks, Bob |
Nope. Wheel axles are all right-hand threaded.
The two places you're likely to run into left-hand (reverse) threading are the left-side pedal and the right-side cup of the bottom bracket (where the crank passes through the frame). Well, unless the bottom bracket is a press-in type, of course. |
From OP: Thank You Very Much. Appreciate your time to answer.
