Broken spokes + flat tire
 
Hello all. I am very new to ebiking and bike mechanics/ maintenance in general. I have just bought a secondhand Schwinn AL1020 electric bike not too long ago, and love it. However, I'm having some small issues (I hope) with the back tire. I recently got a flat tire and upon further inspection noticed 2 spokes were broken with several more being loose. Can this be fixed easily by a bike repair shop? How much will the necessary repairs cost me? (approx) Thanks and any help is appreciated

My local bike shop can fix it easily. Next time I go by there I'll ask them for an estimate.

Yes it can be done by a shop . You looking at around $ 50 .00 for parts and labor . Parts will be two spokes , tube . labor will be truing of the wheel and replacing the tube and putting the tire back on .

Thanks, just to clarify do you mean a bicycle shop can do it or does it have to be an actual electric bike repair shop?

$50.00?? I understand that this wheel needs repaired, but my shops only charge ~$15 for a truing. I can't imagine it being more than $35?

Probably, any reputable shop will want to replace all the spokes. Figure at least $100 total.

The other spokes have likely been over fatigued and are on the verge of failure.

the labor charge is just a est. different shop charge different rates for different jobs . since they have to remove the tire to replace the tube and spokes , and as others had said there may be other spokes that need replacing too .
