DA 11-27 w/Ultegra RD

My current setup is Ultegra Components (2013) . 50-34 Crankset with a 11-25 10sp. cassette. I would like to install a Dura Ace 11-27 cassette. Would it be compatible with the Ultegra Rear Derailleur and would it require and other modifications with respect to the chain?

No problem for the derailleur, but unless your chain is almost new you should install a new chain as well. Depending on how your current chain is sized you may have to add a link to accommodate the larger big cog of the 11-27 cassette

Is the Dura Ace cassette 10 speeds as well? Just making sure.

Your Ultegra RD should be able to handle that slightly larger cog.

I concur that a new chain is recommended when fitting a new cassette. You'll get better shifting than with a stretched/worn chain.

Better shifting and a worn chain will accelerate wear on a new cassette. Dura Ace cassettes are expensive enough that you don't want to wear them out faster than necessary
