Shimano CN-7901 chain out of stock everywhere?

I've had good luck with the Shimano CN-7901 chain. Last night, I started looking around to order another one. Seems like it is out of stock just about everywhere. Finally ordered one on amazon and it appears that it is being shipped from Japan.

What's going on with the CN-7901? Has it been replaced by something else?

I don't know if "stock up" is the right term. The web site says they only have 1 left.

Prepare to settle on a substitute .. all that matters is matching the "speeds" count, for width..

all bike drive chains are half or aka 0.5"inch pitch..

If you just gotta have that 7901 chain, Universal appears to have 46 of them in stock- https://www.universalcycles.com/shop...5&category=683

ChainReaction Cycling just informed me that they didn't have one after all. They canceled my order.
Thanks for the tip on Universal Cycles. I just tried ordering one from Universal Cycles shops. We'll see what happens with that.
The one that I ordered through amazon has supposedly left Japan! "Package has left the carrier facility TOKYO INT CONTAINER 1, JAPAN".

The CN-7901 is simply the most quiet, smoothest chain I've ever used with my setup.

Is there that big of a difference between the 7901 and 6701 for half the price?

CN-7901 (Dura Ace 7900 10 speed) has been discontinued, confirmed by Shimano here in Australia. Their suggested alternative is CN-6701 (6700 Ultegra), but I'll most likely use the KMC 10 speed (X10SL).
