Will this wheelset work on this frame?

Hi all!

Hi, I bought my first road bike after being all mountain for many years. I'm slightly out of touch with the recent standards and such. The wheels on my road bike are getting a little tired, not completly aligned, and quite frankly I'm tired of looking at them. As simple as that.

Here is the bike: Synapse Disc 5 105 - Synapse - Endurance Road - ROAD - BIKES - 2014
Here is the wheelset: Ksyrium Pro Disc | Mavic - United States

So I know I need the 6 bolt shimano version 700x25c. This year's model only comes in 11spd so I would need a spacer for my 10spd cassette.

Would this work? Am I forgeting anything? Even if the hub is 11spd will it fit the frame alright?

I know it might seem like simple question to many but I just want to be sure!

Thanks

It will work. I have the same bike, and the wheels and brakes have been upgraded. Hubs can be a bit different in dimensions, so I had to reposition my brake calipers a bit, and set the rear derailleur up. You have all the info you need, I'd say.

I just retired my Ksyrium (non-disc) SLs because of a cracked rear rim, which is a little too common on these wheels.

Coupled with MAVIC's non-existent customer service would make me think twice...

Thanks for your input!

Maybe I'll shop around a bit more, but disc road wheels are hard to come by, at least in Canada. Most US retailers won't ship wheels to Canada for some bizarre reason! Any suggestions are welcome for a 1550$ pair!

Cheers.

The question has been answered but for general reference this slowtwitch article has served me well . Shimano compatible hubs are 9/10/11 compatible with different spacer combinations, with SRAM cassettes needing lesS by way of spacers for 10 speed than Shimano cassettes.

Cassette How-To - Part 2 - Slowtwitch.com

Edited for clarity, Shimano 11 speed hubs are compatible, using spacers, with 9 and 10 speed cassettes. But older 9/10 speed hubs can't go to 11. So OP's 10 speed cassette will work with 11 speed wheel but an 11 speed casette won't work with 10 speed hub.

Isn't that bike aluminum? With 130mm rear spacing? And aren't 11spd hubs 135mm? I'd be looking for an 8/9/10spd wheel.
