SRAM 4.0 Twist Grip - simple to de-cable, insanely difficult to re-cable

I must be missing something. To de-cable just cut the cable and push back through, ball end comes out a little hole in the rubber grip. Any ideas as to how to push the new cable back through? It doesn't want to line up and come back through the hole. I've done other SRAMs and there is typically a little cover that pops off. Not so in this case. I'm using a brand new cable. What am I missing??

Hole where cable comes out, goes in:

Where cable should come through and go to derailler:

Right shifter with cable partially removed:

Ok I got it. Last night I did numerous searches and came up blank. I was more successful after my OP and found SRAM removal/installation docs. Got it done. Anybody need the SRAM docs let me know.
