6800 front derailleur with 6700 shifter?

Will a Shimano 6800 front derailleur work with 6700 shifter? Rear is 10 speed. Bike was all 6700 (Ultegra). Previous owner replaced front deraileur with 5700 (105). Shifting is poor, the spring seems really strong making it hard to shift up to the big ring. Cables are new and seem smooth. I'm working getting it adjusted better. Sales blurb says 6800 shifters have lighter spring for easier shifting.

Thanks,
chuck

Will not work. FD-6700 should be cheap enough to get back to full ultegra though.
