Knocking sound when out of the saddle

Folks- Looking for a bit of guidance.
On a 2013 Specialized Roubaix Expert I hear a knocking sound when riding out of the saddle going uphill. It occurs when my right foot is at the top of the stroke and pushing down.
Bike has a OS Integrated bottom bracket with FSA SL-K light carbon crank, BB30.
Any ideas?

Well we know it's not the saddle

First thought is that the BB/crank needs servicing. BB30 is well known for it's tendency to creak and click after some time. The spindle/bearing/shell fits aren't always as perfect as they might be. Also the bearings can loose lube, wear and rust. I suggest that you clean and grease the BB area with attention to the bearing's spin condition. As you take off the rank arm check the arm's securing bolt(s) for how tight it(they) are.

Second and third thoughts are the chain ring bolts needing cleaning and greasing or the pedals needing the same. Andy.

Try the easy things first. Swap your pedals with a known-quiet set, preferably platform type; this will rule out pedal and cleat issues.

Clean and grease the male and female threads first and torque properly.

Clean, grease and torque chainring bolts; also clean the mounting surfaces.

Then go to the more labor-intensive steps if needed.
