Strange 8-tine freewheel?

Got a entry-level BMX bike a few years back (like $225). The freewheel no longer grabs so I went to replace it but the its an 8-tine pattern. I looked at my Park Tool book and I cannot even find such a freewheel pattern.

What do I have? Will I need to destroy the freewheel to get it off?

I don't suppose you could post a pic...

Just Googling around, I can find a few references to an 8-splined removal tool. For example, a company named "Excess Technologies" sold freewheels and removal tools with an 8-spline pattern.
