Front Disc Rear V??

Would there be a problem with mixing brake types? Thinking about a new fork and having discs up front.

This is pretty standard when your frame doesn't have disc mounts

I use this setup on a couple of bike, a '96 Bontrager Privateer with a disc on the front, and Magura HS33 on the back & road bike with disc front & caliper rear. Works fine on both.

Our tandem has been set up with a rear disc and front v-brake for several years. Would prefer front disc, too, but that would require a new fork. Maybe someday.

All(or most) the POS wally world bikes that have discs are set up this way. V-brake in the rear(keeps them from having to create a new frame with disc tabs) and disc up front. And if its good enough for those bikes, I don't see why it wouldn't be good enough for your bike. Plus the front brake does the majority of the braking anyways.
