Programming Di2 Firebolt shifters for Ultegra
Because of a disability I want to control Di2 Ultegra (3x11) with a single XTR Firebolt shifter on a flatbar racer. All shifters are plug and play (which is fantastic) so no problem with compatibility.
Of course, synchroshift is only for MTR XTR so I need four independent 'signals' to the control box (which should necessitate two XTR shifters). But I notice that the XTR shifter can actually send FOUR signals to the control box. You can push each paddle a short way (one click) or all the way (two clicks). On another bike with Alfine Di2 I use this to change one gear (one click) or two gears (two gears). Now apply to Ultegra Di2. I wonder, could I use one-click on the first paddle to control the rear derailleur (down) and two clicks to control the front derailleur (down)? Likewise (up) using the other paddle. Would take a little time to learn but I'm prepared for that. My question is whether I can use the one-click and two-clicks as entirely different instructions. If so then I'm sorted. Jeff |
Doubt it.
