Tektro RS312 spare spring
Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with my Tektro RS312 dual pivot caliper rear brakes. They don't spring back completely to the rest position. I know this because I removed them and if I squeeze them by hand they remain closed. Now I will lubricate both pivots and also where the spring is moving on one of the two arms, but anyway the spring looks pretty bad, it's corroded.
Is there a possibility to buy just the spring online? I had a look on Google and I didn't find much.
If you know where I could buy a replacement for the spring would be great!
Thanks!
Francesco

Replacement parts are hard to come by . Have you try overhauling the caliper ? or put some grease on the spring itself ? Or maybe the hardware is too tight ? If so try backing it of by 1/8 -1/4 turn .

It costs as much to ship a spring and warehouse it and get it to retail sellers as the whole brake , but will sell rarely ,
so is not really done any More, see if you can find the same brake on a Junked Bike and cannibalize it, for its spring..
Or just replace the Whole Brake , then there will be one available to buy.
surface corrosion should not take the spring temper out of the spring steel ..
