ultegra 6800 rear derailleur cable pinch bolt/plate

Had a fall today, hitting the rear derailleur. It seems to have sheared off the bolt/plate that pinches the cable to keep it tight. I thought it would be easy enough to order a replacement, but I'm not sure if I'm ordering the right part.

When looking at what's left on the derailleur, there's a hole where the bolt goes (with the indentation for the cable), but the hole's not threaded. Maybe there's something that goes in from the back which the bolt would screw into. All I found online is like the following:

Ultegra RD-6800 Rear Derailleur Cable Anchor Assembly, Derailleur Parts

However, what's pictured wouldn't work by itself, as there's no threading for the bolt to screw into. So it seems like I need the back part also (if there is such a thing).

When I looked at an older Ultegra 6700 derailleur I have, I see the hole itself is threaded, so having just the bolt would appear to work fine for it. The 6800 seems different.

Anyone know what I need? Hopefully the answer isn't: a new derailleur. :(

Thanks

Not having a 6800 in hand I can't say much. But some ders use a nut of sorts behind the cast in anchor arm/hole. I have used a backing nut for repair when the threads in the anchor arm were stripped. Andy

There is a 3rd bit which is missing from that photo and may not be able to be ordered since it doesn't show up on the EV.

It's a threaded sleeve with a 2 flat spots on it to fit into the hole from the top for the bolt to fit into.

You may want to return to the accident and try to find it.

You could improvise the clamp assembly with a suitable length M5x0.8 allen bolt, an M5 nut and a washer under the bolt head. Otherwise, visit a couple of LBSs and see if they have the entire assembly from a trashed rear derailleur they will sell or give you. I don't think there is anything unique about the 6800 clamp.

Some grinding or filing might be needed, but that could probably be made to work and is less $$ than a new RD.

Yes, the bolt may have to be shortened to the proper length unless the OP happens to find one exactly right but that's an easy fix.

Shoot. Yeah, I was looking around for the missing parts at the crash site, but it is a high traffic area and I didn't have any luck. Thanks andr0id for confirming that there is indeed a third part I need.

Looks like I'll need to try some makeshift clamp assembly, or try and get ahold of a junked 6800 for the parts. I noticed the top area of the hole has some raised edge so maybe I'll have to grind that down if I try to make my own clamp assembly.

Thanks.
