Is a sram PC850 p chain compatible with Shimano HG Cassette

I just purchased the HG50 cassette and wanted to get the best chain for it.
I prefer the PC850 over the HG50 chain. Will it work as smoothly.

thank you

"speeds" Count type is all that Matters , really.

Better to get an adequate chain you dont get too attached to and keep it on too long,

since you are challenged by wanting 7 speed cassettes that are not showing up on ebay like waffles in Belgium.

KMC, Sram, Whipperman , Rohloff (They made chains first... were where Campag got them from years back)

Etc etc.
