My Vt2 Gears Are Skraping

i got a 2005 model vt2 and i race x-country but do downhill in my free time. but recently i noticed that the when the chair is on the middle cog up the front it rubbs on the front derailler when it get to the small coggs on the back and a couple on the large cogs. is this normal or have i bent the front derailler.
