mavic ksyrium equipe

Hi,

Im after some advice, I recently purchased a set of mavic ksyrium equipe s. Took them to my LBS to get my 11 Speed Ultegra cassette fitted to the wheel only for the hub (yes it is a Shimano hub) not to take all the cassette, there was one cog left over.

I was under the impression that the mavic could take 11 speed with out the requirement of messing around with spacers (only 10 speed and below need spacer?)

I have attached photos of the free hub.

please help me as its driving me nuts trying to find anything on the internet.

Cheers

why not go back where you bought them ,

they may have only had old stock from the bygone 10 speed era ?

perhaps they will get the driver for 11 to go on that wheel

You may have had desires that lead you to conclude it was what you wished for

but that is not what the bargain was .

did you buy them new? I read a similar thread where it turned out the wheels had been shipped with a mtb freehub so the 11 speed no fit, the supplier replaced them(think it was merlin) my understanding is that all mavic road hubs of recent vintange fit a 11 speed cassette I run a 10 speed on mine with the mavic spacer + the 1mm 10 speed one.

Read through that very recent thread, it could very well be helpful.
