Campy 8 part 2
Ok, for 150 I bought the 8 speed stuff and have been
looking for all the other bits.
My question is this:
Will a 9/10 speed front derailleur work with an otherwise
8 speed drivetrain?

It shouldn't be a problem. Branford Bike sells Campy FDs as 8/9/10 speed FDs. The nice thing about Campy FDs is that they are not, strictly speaking, indexed.
