5700 levers which Tektro calipers are compatible.

Hi all I upgraded a bike last year and the 5700 levers aren't working optimally with the old Ultegra 6500 brakes. I understand that Shimano changed the reach on levers when they switched to under the tape cables starting with the 5700/6700 series. Which Tektro/Cane Creek calipers are compatible. My Motobecane Immortal Force has Cane Creek SCR-6's that work with the 6700 levers but I can't find these calipers commercially.

You are on the right track. But rather than 'reach' - it's the cable pull ratio that was slightly changed (new super SLR). I'm running 5800 calipers with 5700 levers and would recommend that combo. Pretty affordable from the UK - and you can re-coop some funds by selling your 6500 calipers.

The 2012 CAAD10 105 model came spec'd with Tektro R580 calipers on an otherwise full 105 (5700) bike. Checking the Tektro website shows that the R580 is no longer available, but the R540 seems like its replacement. Just change the pads to improve braking performance.

But if I were you, I'd look for a deal on 5700 calipers. 5800 is all the rage now so I think prices are not that high for 5700 parts anymore.

If you decide to give the 5800 brakes a try Ribble has them for under $60/set. Shimano 105 Black 5800 Brake Set - Rim Brakes - Ribble Cycles
I know it's not the question asked in the OP but since it was suggested I thought I'd post the best price I have found on them, I was surprised they could be had that cheap. They are normally more used on eBay.
