How to set the converter on an Ultegra 6800 front derailleur for a Canondale CAAD 9

Hello I just buy a new gruppo Shimano Ultegra 6800 for my old Canondale CAAD 9. But since it's an OEM gruppo it dosen't come with the TL-FD68 tool to setup the front derailleur converter. So I'm just wondering if someone had already setup a 6800 front derailleur on a CAAD 9 and know on which position I should set the converter ON or OFF ?

Thanks in advance

Simplest answer is to buy the TL-FD68 for $5.

The simplest answer is try ON first. Don't clamp the cable so tight then if you feel the shifting could be better and snappier. Try OFF. Save the $5 for beer.
