Another, slightly different, thank you post.
Son of a good friend in the neighborhood knocked on my door this afternoon. "Hi, Mr. Marotti, the brake on my bike doesn't work and my dad said you know about bikes, can you fix it?"
He had a beat up BMX and the brake cable had just broken. Went into my garage, got a new cable and housing, a few hex wrenches and had him on his way in 20 minutes. He told me he had just been dragging his feet on the ground to stop (!!)
Again, not a complicated fix, but I wouldn't have had the supplies, tools, or confidence to take care of it without all the knowledge I've gleaned from this forum, so thanks! Again.
