Rigid Fork To Replace Suspension Fork
Currently, my Kona Fire Mountain (2012) has a RockShox XC28 100mm w/Turnkey but it's dying.
I'd like to replace it with a suspension corrected rigid fork. Any suggestions on brand, model, and where to purchase? Thanks! |
Surly offers suspension corrected forks. Any LBS that uses QBP can order one for you, and you can buy them online as well.

As an alternative- I got an adjustable damping fork with remote lockout on aliexpress for less than $200. SO far the Suntour seems to work quite well. Much better thAN THE OLD ROCKSHOX. (darn caps lock!)

You got some sag by sitting, with your weight on the bars,
then measure the axle to fork crown race and the rake/offset .. matching whats on there now ... and the steering feel will be similar.. Shop the dimensions .. |
As you have a Kona would first look for some Project 2 forks, as they are from Kona, they have been around for ages and are well regarded. They may take a bit of hunting (ebay, craigslist etc) but should work well with your bike
