Mixing SRAM and Shimano

Hi guys.
I was just wondering if using a SRAM chain on Shimano chainrings, cassette and dérailleur will make significantly more noise than a Shimano chain will. Is there much difference between them?
Thanks

A SRAM chain will work just fine. Many of us forego OEM chains from Shimano and Campagnolo because a chain from SRAM, KMC, or Wippermann will work just as well and come with a convenient connecting link.

I've used SRAM chains on Shimano before and it works fine. I think KMC tends to be smoother and quieter, but don't have any tests to back that up.

It'll work fine. That said, I prefer KMC or Shimano chains to SRAM, so if you haven't purchased yet...
