White Industries MI6 hubs - any regular mainenance?

I've been riding these daily for a few years, just noticed mileage has passed 25,000. No complaints, just curious if there is anything I should be doing to make them last longer? When I ask at LBS they are willing to do a clean and adjust (my understanding is you don't really clean and lube the shielded cartridge bearings, but it is possible to do a thrust adjustment), but they also say sometimes they are just never the same once you open them up. WI tech support instructions say hubs will last longer with regular maintenance, but I've never understood what is regular maintenance.

Read the site yourself , first? White Industries

says there Bearings: three 6902-2rs two: 6802-2rs these are cartridge sealed Bearings, standard numbers not proprietary,

People have removed the seal and cleaned and repacked the grease in the bearing then put the seal back in..

But of course first you have to tear down the Hub to the level of the bearings themselves.

removing and just replacing them is probably almost the same effort.

Well . . . yes . . . I thought I'd alluded to having done that by virtue of reading through WI Tech Support . . .but in any case, I'm just searching a bit for remarks from those riding on or working on the MI6 from a practical point of view. If the only action is concerning the cartridge bearings, then when failure becomes evident all would be replaced.

120 others looked at this, no one else responded , Guess Few others does much real Mechanics any more

Engine overhauls and so forth get left to dealerships with computers ..

I just went with generalities ... I dont Own your brand/model of hub I just looked up the specs.

Cleaning the bike as a whole certainly counts , pulling the cassette and getting any grit trying to get inside the driver would count..

Do you have others do that work for you?

Rohloff has Oil changes MY S-A has a little oil in it .. C&V Loose bearing hubs get cleaned and re greased etc.
