Fulcrum clincher vs. 2-way fit spoke nipple fitment?
I have a 2013 or 2014 Fulcrum racing 1 clincher wheel that had been perfect till a slight accident. Rim was toast so I replaced with a 2-way fit rim.
When I look at the Fulcrum site, it says the spoke kit has the same part number. HOWEVER the 2-Way-Fit rim has a much smaller hole where the tubeless valve is inserted and the spoke nipples cannot enter. Clincher has a bigger hole.
This is not a routing issue, which I know is tedious - the spoke can't be inserted. I have confirmed that the nipples fit perfectly when inserted from the inside track of the rim (not from the tire side).
Anyone have any experience with this issue? Do I need different spoke nipples? The rim was hard to get and I am tempted to drill the hole just slightly larger - which would eliminate the tubeless compatibility most likely, but not that much of a priority.
I can post pix if this is too confusing.
Ideas?
Thanks in advance.
