Need help finding a new fork

Hi,
I have a pretty tall order. I'm looking for a new fork and it's a replacement for my suspension fork. I'v looked alot on the web but since i'm new to cycling i probably don't know where or how to look.
Since my frame is designed for a suspension fork it makes it hard to find a fork that would fit since it would need to be either suspension corrected or at least 420mm ATC, my current fork has 450mm. Also it needs to be light, perhaps alu or carbon.? and built for a 28"/700C, 37 tire.

so where can i find a fork that would fit? Again, steerer 1 1/8, ATC 420mm+, alu/carbon and within 150€. I would order from anywhere within europe.

Suspension corrected forks have Longer fork Blades so the head tube angle does not change for the steeper ..

axle to crown race seat . and the offset_"rake" are what you need to match for data ..
150€. Is not offering Much in this era, may have to settle for Steel and made in Asia. [Taiwan is good at making bike stuff]

Back to work.

Wow,
I though i'd gotten the hang of this, but there are so much i still need to learn. I tried googling before asking these question but, what's the difference between "Axle to Crown" and "Axle to Crown race seat"? And "Fork Offset" is basically how much the fork blades bend at the end?

Thank you,

Sebastian

What kind of brakes do you have?
If disc brakes, I think Mosso makes a 430 mm fork in 1 1/8".

Straight line down thru the steering axis to the ground is 1 Point, a second line straight down to the ground is the other

thats Trail.. that is the basics of your steering geometry Trail, the distance between those 2 points.

If cut and paste something you read, is all you can do.. Go to a Bike shop. they will help you figure it out.

what the fork bearings sit against on the fork, the crown race, is supported by the machined face of the crown race seat.
crown race is part of the Headset bearings.

tapered steerer, 9/8" at the top and 1.5 at the bottom , Anything is definitely going to be way over the dream cost ceiling..

even retail to replace what you have with another one.

Ok, this is not something i can do by myself. I'll take your advice and head to a bike shop.

Thanks.

But it doesn't have to be tapered right?

So, after consulting with your Bike Shop staff, which ones are you considering?
