Slight Sound

I was re-adjusting my bike today (stupid growing 14 year old bones) and realized that i could hear, well more like feel the bearings in my crank rotate. It didn't feel quite as smooth as i thought it would. I never noticed this before but then again it has been a while since i sat on a trainer and pedaled as slowly as i did. When i am out on the raod i don't feel it. Could this be a problem?

Im probably going to send the bike in for a setup within the next couple of weeks. But I was just wondering for further reference. Srry about the undescriptive description but im not sure how to word it.

Thanks for any reply.

Peace
Tyler

More likely your chain. May be stiff and need lubed or it may be stretched and need replaced.

it's easy to mistake a problem with your pedal bearings for a problem with your bottom bracket bearings, too. one way to tell the difference would be to switch out the pedals, of course.

Lift the chain off the cogs and spin the crank. If you feel or hear the noise then you have a bottom bracket problem. No noise, chain prob or pedals. Crank stationary and pedals spin(which they should spin freely), noise occurs, then its pedals.
