(Yakima) Whispbar vs Yakima Jetstream

Can anyone speak to how
a Whispbar car-roof rack crossbar and tower system
compares with
a Yakima car-roof rack Jetstream crossbar and Landing Pad tower system?

I hear that:
the Jetstream, influenced by the Whispbar, is quiet and sturdier, and that
the Whispbar is the quietest available.

I haven't found any comparative reviews between the two, though,
and cost is where things get really interesting:

Rackattack lists the Whispbar systems as $456 vs the Yakima $647.
What is the extra cost providing with the Yakima?

[Additionally, Whispbar was bought by Yakima.
I can't tell if it will be discontinued, and if I'll need to worry about future support.]

Whispar will be supported by Yakima but they are discontinuing. The Jetstream is not quite as quiet as the Whispbar according to the website, but strong and significantly less $$$, IE $400 vs ~ $650 for Whispbar with install add $50 or so to each of the above numbers. I noted that from round bars to whispbars (bought 15 months ago) I received a 5MPG boost and silent bars when paired with aero rocky mounts on my Honda HRV, nice rack, is most appropriate. I would have liked the cost savings but oh well. At least there are now many more rack options including a nice temp bike rack option for aero bars coming out this Spring when you need the third or fourth bike mount but don't want them on all the time Yakima Forkchop, minimalist design (no trays) going to get for a spare third buddy mount option.
