Reset Rear Derailleur
How do i put the rear derailleur to a default positions
as i messed up
its a Sram
for my road bike Cervelo
Right now trying to adjust it. it seems to want to go into my spokes on one side
and other side its going rough into my hard gear
suggestions
what of the screws H or L moves the derailleur out from spoke? thanks

Screw in the L(ow) screw to keep it out of the spokes.
Screwing in the H(igh) screw keeps it from coming off the smallest cog.

Slash5 beat me to it: Don't just play with the screws. Following a well thought-out setup procedure like the one on Park Tool's web site will help you get things dialed in while minimizing your potential frustration and hopefully keeping you from breaking things (like by adjusting your derailleur so it drops your chain into the spokes).

Hi there, found the problem, hanger was slight bent, was able to just straighten it , (took it off and used a Vise to straighten) now
all shifting great
Just have to figure out to bring from chain going to spokes
I see the L screw
someone mentioned
shifts good now just have to prevent that over shifting from happening to my spokes
to confirm is the L screw best option for that? should i unscrew it more or screw it in more? or just play with it and see,
otherwise its just one of those 2 H or L

Bikes: 2008 Novara Randonee - love it. Previous bikes:Motobecane Mirage, 1972 Moto Grand Jubilee (my fave), Jackson Rake 16, 1983 C'dale ST500.
As previously noted, go to the Park Tool site, and as previously mentioned don't "just play with it." L is for the largest cog, H is for the smallest, to limit how far they go from center. Screw in = more limited.
p.s. You can't "reset" a derailleur - there is no default position.
