Bike Forums - Ksyrium spokes of same length interchangeable?

I'm on a quest to get a few replacement Ksyrium SSC spokes. I see there are several models of Mavic K wheels -- SL, SR, etc. I also see that the SSC spokes appear to be scarce. Are spokes from any other more common models usable for the SSC wheels?

I haven't yet removed any of my sketchy spokes to measure and get ready for this project.

Also, what is the correct way to measure these spokes? ...From absolute end to end?

I have several seized spokes on both sides of rear wheel. I'd like to get spares for front 'n' rear wheels. They look to typically cost $15+ ea so I'm keeping my eye out for a thriftier way to go for this 2ndhand wheelset. I don't mind mismatched spokes! As long as they work.

Wheels are 2008, as I recall.

Man, the neck region near the start of the blade is SOFT. It is twisting when I try to adjust the nipple.
