Tire has a bend when aired up

Mounted this tire and it has this kink. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Might be defective.

Remove it and reinstall.

Good Luck

If the tire beads are seated properly and the tube is installed with no kinks or folds in it ... the carcass of the tire is probably wonky. No fix for that.

I had one exactly like that on my old Raleigh 12 speed. Tire was fine to begin with & the crooked place developed over about 1/2 a dozen rides. Started to get worse & worse. So, I tossed it for a new set of tires.

+1

Most tires have a thin line near the bead running parallel to the rim.
Make sure it is equidistant around the entire rim.

Thanks all. I've reinstalled couple times now. Even soaked in hot water to try working out the bend. I'm not out much just hoping to be able to use. Going with what Klinck said "wonky" and move on to another tire.

I've seen this occasionally with really cheap tires. No fix for it as far as I know. Ride it and see how it feels, if it feels ok, keep riding it, I guess!

And next time get nicer tires.

Not the first time I've see that on low price Kendas...happened just last year on a pair I purchased. Bought by mail and they were cheap enough I didn't want to bother with sending tires back or getting into an battle of whose fault. Installed another brand and they now have 1000 miles on them and look brand new.

Thought about contacting kenda but again, didn't want to get into a huff about something like that..just moved on.
