Di2 FD backup plate

Anyone ever fabricate one of these from materials on hand? I'm moving the groupset from a band to a braze-on bike and I seem to have lost the plates that came with the groupset.. I'm thinking a small piece of metal with double-sided tape might do the job.

Sounds like what Shimano supplies. Looks like ~1mm thick aluminum with a bit of foam on the back and sticky stuff
on the foam. Just needs a bit of curve to it.

thats what the real Helicopter tape is , self adhesive aluminum.

(so say my Flight Mechanic USCG friends )

double stick tape and thin stainless steel may work as well ..

I was going to out of stainless steel sheet metal but the bike shop gave me one. You can skip the tape if you have some skills.
