OK for bicycles?: Ride-On motorcycle BALANCER and sealant

My local salvation army has two unopened 8oz bottles of Ride-On motorcycle balancer and sealant, $1 each. (Amazon price about $15)

Would they work for Tubeless MTB sealant? Or injected into tubes? Would it be harmful? Since it is not just a sealant, but also a 'balancer,' (enabling the motorcyclists to do away with balancing wheel weights) is it super heavy?

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

I can't speak to it's sealing properties, but the balancing properties are very basic and common to any liquid that might be in a fast spinning tire.

I doubt you'll get the full balancing effect in a bike tire because of the slower spin, but then again it won't hurt, and you didn't need the balancing feature anyway.

Yeah, I don't want the balancing feature, I was just thinking that the reason it replaces metal weights is because it has a lot of weight of its own.

They also make a bike-specific product called Bike-On. And on their Ride-On page, they say "While our competitors were busy playing with bicycles, we were busy earning our stripes in the world’s most demanding applications." So it seems like this stuff is probably ok for bicycles, but just overkill.

Obviously it will add rotating weight.

Right, but I'm wondering if it will be ridiculously more than regular bicycle sealant

Just what is your goal in using this instead of bike stuff? Is it ridiculously less expensive? If it has ballast in it, to add weight, I'd say that its going to hurt performance - this is why folks spend a couple grand on wheels, to reduce weight near the rim.

Yes, it's almost free, two bottles for $1 each from the salvation army right near my house

I only spent $400 on my (locally handbuilt) wheels, not to mention I'm old and fat and slow, so looks like I'm good

FWIW, the bottle doesn't feel like lead or anything, it feels like it weighs about the same as any other squeeze bottle of liquid.

Normally with Slime you only use 2 ounces per tube. It would seem you have enough in one 8 oz bottle for 4 tubes. I would not put the whole bottle in my tube.

How many flats have you had in the last year? If it is over 2, I would look at it otherwise probably not. The goop in tubes will normally dry out and become worthless in one to two years. it is a pain to install in your tubes.

I've been experimenting with tubeless for the past year on a pair of BD bikes with TCS wheelsets. Went through 2L of sealant before I decided the tires were not really tubeless-compatible, so I'm back to tubes on those 4 wheels, and it would be nice to get some puncture protection while I wait for the tires to wear out so I can buy some proper tubeless wheels.
