Lowest Bottom bracket height (for commuting) ?

Currently running 10.7" (from ground to middle of BB shell), which I read is about average for a road bike.

If I switch tires, depending on which one, I could drop as low as 10" inches for the BB height. Is that too low for commuting? I am running standard 170mm cranks if it helps.

Depends on whether you pedal through corners, or not. Andy.

If you know the obvious answer why did you ak the question. I am not being sarcastic but there is no way for us to know if it wil or will not be. You seem to have answered your own question. How long are your crank arms? Most are 6.5 to 7 inches and that means you should have at least 3 inches of clearance and possibly more. Second what does your post have to do with the title of your thread? Roger
