Installing a Hollowtech II bottom bracket in press fit cups

Does anyone know if and how I can install a Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket in a frame with press fit cups? I seem to recall there was an adapter or bushing available to do this but now I cannot find anything on the web for it...

Thanks everyone.

Which of the press fit standards are you talking about? there are a few these days. But the methods are pretty much the same. Press into the Bb shell the bearings or the adaptors that house the bearings, slide in the crank, attach the LH arm, preload correctly and pinch the arm bolts to torque. Andy.

There are so many adapters for pressfit bb's, to run various cranks, it will make your head spin. But as Andrew has mentioned, the adapter will be specific to whatever pressfit standard you are talking about. There will likely be several viable options.

OK. I'll see if I can get more details on the cups. Just want to be sure this is possible before we buy the frame. The cups are in a Salsa Warbird CF frame and I'll check with Salsa to see what they say. Is there a best source for the adapters?

Well... your LBS will have a profit motivation to do the right choice first time around. Andy.

Should be PF30

bottom bracket for the Warbird. Get a HT adapter for it from Wheels Manufacturing. There are a few options, including simple nylon inserts and more expensive screw together aluminum. Both work well.

Praxis adapter BB FTW.

I put my old GXP Quarq on my new(er) SL4 and it works perfect. It's press in, and also screw tight, and "everyone" says it's the only solution not prone to creaks and squeaks.

My Warbird has a PF 41x86
