SRAM rings with shimano 11 speed drive train?
I want to do the following: 52-36 SRAM x glide rings on rotor 3D cranks with shimano 11spd derailleurs. Will this work? If so, what chain and cassette should I use? Does manufacturer of cassette matter? And chain brand and width?

I may be wrong, but I think Sram xglide rings wont't line up corrctly with the rotor cranks because Sram cranks have one of the bolts screw into the back of the crank arm rather than into a fifth spider arm. The rings will work but the chain catch knob that normally sits behind tne crank arm will be misaligned so you will be at risk for jamming the chain if you drop it to tne outside (slight risk). My SRAM cranks and rings work just fine with my Shimano 11 speed derailleurs. I have used both SRAM and Shimano cassettes and notice no difference. I like SRAM or KMC chains because of the powerlink, which Shimano doesnt have, but you can use KMC powerlink with shimano chains.

10 speed, but I have been running a SRAM Red crankset, and 1070 cassette and chain with DA derailleurs for several years without any problems.
The SRAM cassette and chains, so far, have lasted longer than Shimano.

10 speed rings will work fine with 11 spped derailleurs and I think SRM makes nonhidden bolt version of 10 speed rings. So that should work for OPs rotor cranks
