Brake Pad?
So I have Shimano BR CX 50 Canti Brakes that have replaceable pads. Everything I am reading online says that there are no replaceable cartridge "systems" compatible with the BR CX 50 but there are with the CX 70 Example
So how is it possible I have that and it works. I know its probably not rocket science but I need to replace the pads and wondering what to get, I like the idea of replaceable cartridges, but do not know the pros and cons of either system. Please advise, thanks!

Someone in the past replaced your CX50 brake-shoes with CX70 version. The difference is one set has fixing-screws and one doesn't. Get replacement CX70 pads.

I would go to a LBS with said pad (and really the shoe) and see if a road or a mountain cartridge pad will fit. The link to the CX 70 shows a cartridge/shoe pad type, but the link to the CX 50 shows a one piece pad. Could be that your CX 50s got a substitute pad which is like the CX 70s. Any way trying is your answer. Couldn't be any simpler. Andy.
