Shimano IG51 112 links for 8 speed cassette?

From what I read it's supposed to work but now I have HG40 with 116 links. Will it be OK?

Look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.ca/itm/252689816406

Shift your bike into the big-big (largest chainring-largest cog) gear and see if you still have several links of slack when you pull the rear derailleur cage fully forward. Could you remove 2" (4 half-links) and still have a bit of slack? If so the shorter chain will work, if not, not.

After you install the new chain, turn the cranks slowly by hand and gently shift into the big chainring/big cog combination. STOP if anything gets tight, you should be able to make the shift without straining anything.

So...

I got the new chain. It's IG51 116 links so no problem of missing links. I put it last week ,it's functions ok but when I get down to 3x2 it's sounds not good and once it's even fell from the big to the middle chainring. I tried to calibrate the rear derailleur but it doesn't help. I read that the difference between the IG and the HG is the width so maybe it's not exactly compatible to my bike...
Put back the old chain and going to order the HG40. Any other recommendations ?
