Headset-how to determine height
 

I cannot seem to find the info ,and I had it in the past, on how to determine the height of a headset for a threaded steerer tube.
Help would be great.

Are you looking for the stack height of a particular headset or are you trying to determine what the required stack height a particular frame and fork require?

If the former, you will have to find the manufacturer's specs.

If the latter, measure the length of the headtube and the length of the steerer from the crown race seat to the top. Subtract the length of the headtube from the length of the steerer and add 2 mm. That's the maximum total stack height you can use. If the headset you choose is shorter than that, use spacers to make up the difference.
