Dura ace 9000 rear derailleur?

Does anybody know if you can use a dura ace 9000 rear derailleur with a 10 speed shifter and a 10 speed cassette?

I've heard reports of a 11spd 5800 RD working in a 10spd set up with 4700 shifters because the cable pull is very similar.

a 5800 RD is functionally identical to a 9000 RD, So i think a 9000 RD would work in the same way with 4700 shifters.

Any older shifters will not work because the cable pull is different.
